Meet Anna, PhD Student in Computer Vision and Image Analysis

Hello, my name is Anna, I’m from the university
of Konstanz in Germany and I’m doing my PhD in computer vision and artificial intelligence. I came for a project in image processing. Basically, the company is doing rock studies
and they have some artefacts when they capture the rocks. My goal is to remove those artefacts, especially
like rings that are common artefacts in X-ray tomography. So, here I have the chance to apply my recently
published method that I presented on Stuttgart this year, it was
one of the largest computer vision conferences. So, here I have a chance to, actually, try
out some real applications and see what’s happening and how deep learning can help in
their purposes. I think, friendly and warm, maybe also because
of the weather, and interesting!
